St Marks Church clock. Jersey. C.I.

This is the second time I have re-made a large church sphere clock face. The first was back in about 2008 at St Thomas Catholic church in St Helier. It is an interesting project as each segment is a slightly different shape and the glass is of course opaque, so you cannot see through it. The tolerance of the rebate in the steel frame is only about 4mm – 5mm, so the glass cutting has to be exact. Because they are so high up, people do not realise how large they are when they look up to see the time, but they are almost 2 metres in height.
